PowerSports Service Technician

At Chudds Chrysler and Powersports in Gimli Manitoba, we have been providing our customers with premium product and a great customer experience for over 80 years. We are truly a motorsports superstore proudly representing Chrysler, Jeep, Arctic Cat, Polaris, Husqvarna Motorcycles, Suzuki Motorcycle and Marine, Mercury Marine, Lowe boats, KZ Campers and Coleman RV. 

Our Powersports department currently has an opportunity for a Powersports Service Technician. In this role, you would be expected to perform basic to complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on Snowmobiles, Offroad Vehicles, Motorcycles, Marine and Recreational Products. Other duties will include:

  • Perform basic to complex electronic and computer diagnostics and determine what adjustments and repairs are required.
  • Set up and pre-delivery inspection of new equipment
  • Prepare estimate quotes for customer.
  • Perform all service and repairs as required.
  • Participate in all job-related training and development.
  • Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Maintain current product knowledge of recreational and marine equipment and competitive products.
  • Maintain condition of tools and equipment
  • Maintain a safe work environment 

Job Requirements;

  • Established knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of equipment.
  • Knowledge of small engines and other mechanical, electrical and fluid systems
  • Aptitude for computer and other equipment used for diagnostic purposes

  • the passion and motivation for a career in the Powersports business
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid drivers’ license
  • 1 – 2 years experience
  • Rec Technician certification or equivalent
  • Small engine repair course completion or equivalent
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times
  • Weight handling of up to 60 lbs. required
  • Forklift license beneficial but not required
